Eyebrook Res: juv American Golden Plover still at the inflow, also female/imm Merlin chasing Linnets at c12:15, male & female Scaup south of the Island & 6 Red-crested Pochards (4 males) off the Plantation.

Rutland Water: 3 Jack Snipe still, Lagoon 3.
Thornton Res: Jack Snipe still opposite the fishing lodge.

Rutland Water: Snow Bunting on the South Arm 3 island, but distant; female/imm Red-breasted Merganser still at the dam; Jack Snipe still, Lagoon 3.
Eyebrook Res: juv American Golden Plover reported briefly this morning, but otherwise no sign all day; male Merlin at the inflow just after midday; 11 Whooper Swans; male & female Scaup south of the island; 5 Red-crested Pochards, Ringed Plover & Redshank.
Thornton Res: Jack Snipe still opposite the fishing lodge.
Saturday 25th October
Rutland Water: adult pale morph Pomarine Skua flew low west over Lagoon 4 at 14:20 – first County record for 41 years; female/imm Red-breasted Merganser at the dam briefly early afternoon; 3 Jack Snipe, Lagoon 3 from Shoveler hide.
Croft Hill: Yellow-browed Warbler at the base of the hill on the Croft side this afternoon.
Eyebrook Res: juv American Golden Plover still this morning at least, but no plovers this afternoon due to disturbance at the inflow. Also 2 Whooper Swans off Stoke Dry car park this afternoon.
Thornton Res: Jack Snipe still opposite the fishing lodge.

Rutland Water: report of Leach’s Petrel over the Main Water at 16:20, but no sign when looked for later.

Eyebrook Res: juv American Golden Plover still at the inflow, also 2 female Scaup, Rock Pipit, 5 Red-crested Pochards & 2 Ringed Plovers.
Croft Hill: vismig this morning included a female Goshawk, 2 Ring Ouzels, Hawfinch, Rock Pipit & Crossbill.
Priory Water: 2 Bearded Tits flew towards Kirby Lakes at 16:52.
Swithland Res: 2 Garganey on the south side, also the 2 Whooper Swans still, and 1 Green Sandpiper on the north side.
Watermead CP North: Rock Pipit flew over John Merrick’s Lake.
Rutland Water: Rock Pipit on the dam.

Stanford Res: 2 Glossy Ibis again high SW over dam at 08:00.
Beacon Hill: no sign of the Snow Bunting today.

Rutland Water: Little Stint, South Arm 3 on Green Bank.

Eyebrook Res: juv American Golden Plover still at the inflow, best viewed from the Rutland side. Also female Scaup.
Rutland Water: 4 Jack Snipes, Lagoon 3 from Shoveler hide; Knot & 8 Black-tailed Godwits on Green Bank, South Arm 3.
Beacon Hill: Snow Bunting still.
Saturday 18th October
Eyebrook Res: juvenile American Golden Plover at the inflow this afternoon. Best views were from the Rutland side, initially with a flock of up to 600 Golden Plovers, but later on its own after they flew off. Also 1 Grey Plover, 1 Knot, male & female Scaup, 2 Red-crested Pochards, Marsh Harrier, 2 Redshanks, Green Sandpiper & 3 Ringed Plovers.
Rutland Water: Jack Snipe, Shoveler hide; Grey Plover, Manton Bay late morning.
Beacon Hill: Snow Bunting still.
Stanford Res (permit holders only): 2 Glossy Ibis again this morning, also Osprey.
Thornton: 2 Hawfinches flew east over the park this morning.

Quorn: Woodlark flew low west over Great Central Railway station at 11:20.
Burrough Hill: Firecrest in bushes on south side of the hill fort below the toposcope at 10:10, but mobile, also 2 Bramblings.
Rutland Water: Grey Plover & pair of Common Scoter, South Arm.
Beacon Hill: Snow Bunting still around the trig point.
Stanford Res (permit holders only): 2 Glossy Ibis again briefly, also Black Redstart photographed at the spillway.

Beacon Hill: Snow Bunting still near the trig point, also Rock Pipit flew over again.

Groby: Hawfinch flew low west over Fern Crescent at 09:49.
