LROS Meetings & Outings

Indoor Meetings 2026/27

Each year the Society stages eight meetings between October and May. There are currently a combination of live and virtual (zoom) meetings although most live meetings will also be simultaneously ‘zoomed’.  We aim to record all meetings (live and zoom) and members will automatically receive the recording link within 24 hours, so they can watch the meeting at their leisure within the four weeks following the event. Live meetings take place at The Hall of St. Anne’s in Letchworth Road, Leicester, LE3 6FN.

The meetings feature illustrated talks by experienced ornithologists, artists, conservationists or photographers. They are an ideal way to meet and socialise with other members and the committee, whilst enjoying the excellent photos, anecdotes and varied subject matter of the speakers.

For more information on using Zoom see below. We may in the future be able to link such presentations with our indoor meetings – details will be published as appropriate.

All meetings are free to members and ‘walk ins’. Click the button below to go to our Events Calendar, and hover over / click the event for more information. There is no need to book for any indoor or ‘zoom’ meetings. For more information please contact John Bleby John.bleby74@gmail.com

Indoor Meetings Using Zoom

As we normally ‘zoom’ live meetings simultaneously, we will send the login link and passcode (if required) to members seven days beforehand with a reminder in the hours before we start. Providing you have Zoom downloaded onto your device you can then simply click on the email link to join. As there are always members who cannot watch on the night, we now automatically forward the recording login details to all within 24 hours and you can watch at any time in the next four weeks.
