Rutland Water: Bar-tailed Godwit, Lagoon 3 then 4; 2 Red-necked Grebes still, North Arm and dam.

Eyebrook Res: 9+ Scaup still, also the 3 Pink-footed Geese and 1st-winter Whooper Swan.

Friday 27th March

Rutland Water: 2 Red-necked Grebes still, one off Barnsdale and one at the south end of the dam.

Eyebrook Res: 14 Scaup still.

Tuesday 24th March

Watermead CP South: female Long-tailed Duck refound on the ‘Nature Lake’ which is the one just north of Watermead Way. View from the wooden screen just south of the Mammoth.

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe still off the dam.

Longmoor Lake: 1 Black-necked Grebe.

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe, North Arm.

Eyebrook Res: drake American Wigeon & 5 Scaup still.

Wednesday 18th March

Eyebrook Res: 4 adult Little Gulls at the inflow this afternoon, also drake American Wigeon still (south of the island this morning then moved to opposite Stoke Dry car park in the afternoon), 13 Scaup (6 drakes), juv Whooper Swan & 3 Pink-footed Geese still.

Rutland Water: 1 Red-necked Grebe still off Barnsdale.

Monday 16th March

Rutland Water: 2 Red-necked Grebes together off Barnsdale.

Eyebrook Res: drake American Wigeon south of the island, also 11 Scaup (5 drakes).

Sunday 15th March

Eyebrook Res: drake American Wigeon still, also 1 Sand Martin, redhead Smew, 11 Scaup (4 drakes), juv Whooper Swan & 1 Dunlin.

Saturday 14th March

Eyebrook Res: drake American Wigeon still, north of the island, also LRP, redhead Smew, 11 Scaup, juv Whooper Swan, 3 Pink-footed Geese & Marsh Harrier.

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe still, North Arm.

Friday 13th March

Eyebrook Res: drake American Wigeon again, along the south-west shore, also 13 Scaup, juv Whooper Swan & 3 Pink-footed Geese still.

Wednesday 11th March

Eyebrook Res: 13 Scaup, 3 Pink-footed Geese, juv Whooper Swan & 1 Dunlin.

Tuesday 10th March

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe North Arm still.

Eyebrook Res: redhead Smew, 9 Scaup, 3 Pink-footed Geese and juv Whooper Swan still.

Thursday 5th March

Wanlip Meadows: 2 Glossy Ibis again early morning only, then flew off north-east.

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe still at south end of the dam.

Thornton Res: 1 Sand Martin this morning.

Eyebrook Res: 3 Pink-footed Geese & juv Whooper Swan still.

Wednesday 4th March

Wanlip Meadows: 2 Glossy Ibis on Wanlip Scrape. Park at the end of Church Road. NB Plover hide on the Watermead CP North side is currently closed.

Eyebrook Res: Avocet at the inflow, also 3 Pink-footed Geese still; 9 Scaup off the dam and another female off Stoke Dry; 3 redhead Smew still scattered around.

Rutland Water: apparently two Red-necked Grebes today – one in the North Arm and one still off the dam.

Tuesday 3rd March

Eyebrook Res: 3 Tundra Bean Geese & 6 Pink-footed Geese this afternoon (Phil Rogers); but the 3 Beans & 3 of the Pink-feet flew off low north at 16:00, leaving the 3 long-staying Pink-feet behind. Also adult Med Gull at the inflow this morning.

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe off Hambleton Wood this morning.

Monday 2nd March

Wanlip North Lakes: 2 Glossy Ibis on private land this afternoon briefly before flying off.

Eyebrook Res: 3+ Smew & 11 Scaup still.

Sunday 1st March

Eyebrook Res: drake American Wigeon, 1+ Smew & 11 Scaup still.

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe still at south end of the dam.
