Saturday 28th

Rutland Water: Great White Egret still around Egleton reserve, also 2 Black-necked Grebes off Barnsdale & Pink-footed Goose, Hambleton Peninsula.

Eyebrook Res: 5 Smew (2 drakes) still.

Swithland Res: 1st-winter drake Scaup still on the north side.

Friday 27th

Rutland Water: Great White Egret, South Arm 2 (Wigeon hide); Greenland White-fronted Goose & Pink-footed Goose at the end of Hambleton Peninsula; 2 Black-necked Grebes still, North Arm; 2 Smew & 6 Ringed Plovers, Lagoon 4.

Eyebrook Res: 5 Smew (2 drake), also Ringed Plover at the island.

Thursday 26th

Eyebrook Res: unconfirmed report of Great Northern Diver off Stoke Dry at 15:30, but no sign when looked for later. 3 Smew (1 drake) & 3 Red-crested Pochards (1 drake).

Swithland Res: 1st-winter drake Scaup still.

Albert Village Lake: 1 Med Gull.

Wednesday 25th

Rutland Water: Great White Egret, Lagoon 2; 4 Smew, Lagoon 4.

Shawell A5 Lagoons: 1 Med Gull.

Tuesday 24th

Rutland Water: Great White Egret, Lagoon 1; Red-necked Grebe still, North Arm opposite Whitwell; Great Northern Diver, South Arm 1; Brent Goose still on south side of end of Hambleton Peninsula.

Monday 23rd

Rutland Water: drake & 2 redhead Smew & 5 Ringed Plovers, Lagoon 4.

Sunday 22nd

Rutland Water: Brent Goose still at the end of Hambleton Peninsula, in the field south of the track, then flew to South Arm.

Saturday 21st

Rutland Water: Great White Egret, Bittern & Scaup, Lagoon 3.

Friday 20th

Rutland Water: Great White Egret, Heron Bay; Great Northern Diver, Normanton; Brent Goose still on Hambleton Peninsula; Black-necked Grebe, Dickinson's Bay.

Albert Village Lake: 3rd-winter Glaucous Gull again this afternoon.

Eyebrook Res: drake & 3 redhead Smew + Stonechat.

Thursday 19th

Rutland Water: Avocet, Lagoon 1.

Albert Village Lake: 3rd-winter Glaucous Gull.

Wednesday 18th

Rutland Water: 2 Black-necked Grebes & drake Scaup, Dickinson's Bay, North Arm.

Tuesday 17th

Rutland Water: Great White Egret, Lagoon 2, also 1 Smew; Red-necked Grebe still at the south end of the dam; 2 Great Northern Divers & drake Scaup, South Arm off Hambleton Wood this morning; Brent Goose & 3 White-fronts (inc Greenland bird), Whitwell harbour (the 2 European White-fronts also seen on Hambleton Peninsula today).

Eyebrook Res: drake & 3 redhead Smew.

Monday 16th

Fort Henry Ponds: Greenland White-fronted Goose still with Greylags.

Sunday 15th

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe still at the southern end of the dam.

Fort Henry Ponds: Greenland White-fronted Goose (presumably the bird from Rutland Water).

Saturday 14th

Rutland Water: Great White Egret, Lagoon 2; Red-necked Grebe & Black-necked Grebe off the dam; 2 Black-necked Grebes still, Dickinson's Bay, North Arm.

Thursday 12th

Eyebrook Res: 6 Smew (3 drakes) north of the island.

Rutland Water: 2 Great Northern Divers opposite Sailing Club Bay.

Wednesday 11th

Eyebrook Res: Great White Egret still at the inflow.

Rutland Water: 5 Smew (2 drakes), South Arm 3.

Tuesday 10th

Eyebrook Res: Great White Egret still at the inflow, also 35 Dunlin & 5 Smew.

Rutland Water: Great Northern Diver, North Arm, from the end of Barnsdale road, also 2 Black-necked Grebes there; 4 Smew, Lagoon 4 & 3 Smew, Lagoon 3.

Monday 9th

Eyebrook Res: Great White Egret still at the inflow this morning.

Sunday 8th

Eyebrook Res: Great White Egret at the inflow all day, also the Bittern showed to the north of the bridge, early afternoon, 7 Smew (4 drakes) around the reservoir and 26 Dunlin near the hide.

Rutland Water: Brent Goose still at the end of Hambleton peninsula; 6 Smew (3 drakes) & 3 Scaup, South Arm.

Swithland Res: 1st-winter drake Scaup still on the north side.

Friday 6th

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe still in usual place on north side of Hambleton Peninsula; 6 Smew & 6 Scaup, Lapwing hide.

Thursday 5th

No news received for today.

Wednesday 4th

Rutland Water: Red-necked Grebe still off north side of Hambleton peninsula opposite Whitwell, but distant.

Eyebrook Res: 5 Smew (3 drakes), 2 Pink-footed Geese and 10 Dunlin.

Tuesday 3rd

No news received for today.

Monday 2nd

Rutland Water: Great White Egret & 1 Smew, Lagoon 1; Red-necked Grebe in usual place on north side of Hambleton peninsula, also 3 White-fronts & 1 Pink-footed Goose with Greylags; 2 Black-necked Grebes, Dickinson's Bay; 2 redhead Smew, Lapwing hide.

Eyebrook Res: 5 Smew (3 drakes).

Sunday 1st

Rutland Water: Great White Egret, Lagoon 1.

Eyebrook Res: 6 Smew (4 drakes) ranging between the island and Stoke Dry, also 2 Pink-footed Geese still with the Greylags & 32 Dunlin.

Swithland Res: pair of Smew close to the dam.
