Monday 11th

Near Countesthorpe: White Stork this afternoon feeding in a field, then flew off high to the west at 16:30. Unfortunately the bird was not visible from any public right of way, and the farmer was unwilling to allow general access to his land, having had problems with birders in the past when there was a Great Grey Shrike there....

Sunday 10th

Warren Hills: Great Grey Shrike still, but flushed late afternoon by a birder (wearing a red coat) trespassing in the field in order to get better views. It shouldn't need to be said, but please DO NOT ENTER the private fields! Selfish behaviour like this only increases the likelihood that news of rare birds will be withheld at other sites in the future. If by chance the person responsible reads this, please either learn some fieldcraft or just stay at home so the majority of people who do know how to behave don't have to put up with your stupidity. Thanks.
